    Climate Change Impacts

The impact of climate change is being felt around the world.  Temperatures continue to increase.  Storms become more severe.  There is increased drought and associated food shortages.  Ocean levels are rising but there are also fresh water shortages.  There are more health risks and more species are becoming extinct.  Poverty and displacement continue to increase.  Learn more on how you can adapt to these and the big changes that are coming.

    Health Education

We support Healthcare Information For All (HIFA) and believe that every person and every health worker should have access to the healthcare information they need to protect their own health and the health of those for whom they are responsible.

    IAP HealthPhone – Internet-in-a-Box

Collaborating with Wiki Project Med Foundation and HealthPhone, Internet-in-a-Box has developed an offline distribution system for medical and healthcare content geared specifically to South Asia.

    Nutrition

The fight against persistent underweight, stunting and wasting among children in developing countries is based on appropriate maternal, infant and young child feeding practices including micronutrient deficiencies prevention and control. However, wasted children are those at immediate risk of dying and will need timely detection and correct management for their survival.

    Public Health

Public health promotes and protects the health of all people and their communities.  Public health improves our quality of life, helps children thrive, reduces human suffering and saves money.  Every day, the public health field is working – often behind the scenes – to prevent hazards and keep people healthy.  Public health workers track disease outbreaks and vaccinate communities to avoid the spread of disease.  Public health officials set safety standards to protect workers.  Public health workers develop school nutrition programs to ensure children have access to healthy food.  And, public health officials and workers do much, much more.

    Women and Girls

When girls education is supported countries flourish. Girls stay in school longer and marry later. When women are supported, e.g. in land ownership or in legislative seats, countries flourish. Learn more about investing in women and girls and how that impacts everyone.
